When and where is TwitchCon San Diego being held?

TwitchCon San Diego will take place October 7 - 9, 2022 at the San Diego Convention Center.

When will tickets go on sale and close?

Tickets for TwitchCon San Diego are now live and will be on sale until the earlier of the event being sold out or October 3, 2022. We highly recommended you get your tickets early.

What health and safety measures will be put into place at TwitchCon?

(Updated 9/23/22) All attendees (including exhibitors, guests, staff, streamers, etc.) must verify that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 OR provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test to attend TwitchCon. Regardless of vaccination status, all attendees will also be required to wear approved face coverings to enter and remain at TwitchCon. We will also have hand sanitizer stations throughout the venue. Please see our Health Measures FAQs for more information on what constitutes a full vaccination, acceptable proof of a negative test and face coverings.

Vaccination or negative COVID-19 verification will take place at Bayfront Park before you enter TwitchCon. You can not pick up your TwitchCon badge until you have been verified and received the Health (COVID-19) verification wristband. All attendees (including exhibitors, guests, staff, streamers, etc.) must wear their Health (COVID-19) verification wristband at all times while at TwitchCon and the official TwitchCon party.

We will continue to monitor the health and safety measures along with local authorities and we reserve the right to modify and add health requirements at our sole discretion.

Are there any restrictions to attend TwitchCon San Diego?

TwitchCon is for folks who are 13+. If a person is under 18 years of age, such person is considered a minor. Minors are allowed to attend TwitchCon and must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times. Minors may be restricted from being able to access content/products that are for adults or 21+.

Tickets are limited to one (1) per Twitch account, other than as noted above. Tickets are not refundable, exchangeable, transferable or replaceable if lost or stolen. In the event that Twitch cancels TwitchCon San Diego all ticket holders will be refunded. Once onsite, you will need to bring a government issued photo ID to pick up your physical badge.

What type of IDs are acceptable?
A passport, national ID card or driver’s license that contain your first name, last name and date of birth are acceptable forms of government issued IDs. Please email registration@twitchcon.com if you do not have one of these forms of identification.
Do I need a Twitch account to register for TwitchCon?
Yes! All ticket holders will be required to have a Twitch account in order to register for TwitchCon. Don’t have one? You can create an account during the registration/ticketing process.
Accessibility Request
Twitch is for everyone, and TwitchCon will represent that. The San Diego Convention Center is wheelchair accessible. ASL interpreters will be available for panel rooms and our main Glitch theater content. If you require accessibility accommodations, please let us know when you register for your badge. Will my username or first name be printed on my badge?
Only your Twitch username will be printed on your badge.
I recently became a Partner/Affiliate but purchased my ticket while I was a community/affiliate member. Will my badge automatically update to the correct status?
Yes. We will be able to check your status on site and ensure you get the correct badge.
When is the TwitchCon Partner Party?
The TwitchCon Partner Party is 6PM - 9PM on Thursday, October 6. Partner badge holders only, 21+, must have identification and a TwitchCon Badge for entry. No +1s allowed
When is the TwitchCon Party?
The TwitchCon Party is 7PM - 11PM on Saturday, October 8. Only individuals with 3-Day + Party tickets will be admitted. Tickets will NOT be sold onsite. Talent will be announced in the coming weeks.
What are the guidelines so I can show-off my awesome cosplay?
We’re here to help you live your best life and show off your craft, but it’s our priority to ensure everyone is safe. If you’re unsure if you can bring a prop relating to your cosplay, check out our policy on cosplay weapons. Cosplayers will be prompted to check into the TwitchCon Prop Desk upon arrival at the show. You can also find more information about costuming guidelines in our Event Code of Conduct. If you are a participant in our Cosplay Contest, your Cosplay must comply with our Official San Diego Cosplay Contest Rules.Email the Cosplay Contest Team at cosplaycontest@twitchcon.com if you have any questions around your submission. Where is my TwitchCon San Diego 2022 Chat Badge?

It could take up to 1-2 days for Twitch to recognize that you’ve unlocked the TwitchCon San Diego chat badge. So if you don’t see it right away, don’t worry! And if you’ve never equipped a chat badge before, here’s how to do it:

  • Open up the stream chat in any channel.
  • Next to the chat box on the left, click the “chat identity” icon.
  • In the menu that pops up, you’ll see the TwitchCon San Diego 2022 badge assigned to your account.
  • You can choose which badges you want to appear beside your name on the current channel or globally for every channel. Select your TwitchCon San Diego 2022 badge and you’re all set.

Customizable Badge: With this setting you can select the channel badges that appear next to your name for the specific channel you’re in and your global default. Setting badges for a specific channel will override your global default badges in that channel.

I stream on a shared channel. How can I get everyone on the channel registered?

We require any additional Partner/Affiliate tickets for shared channels to be granted to co-hosts/on-screen talent only. People who assist a channel’s content creation from a behind-the-scenes basis, such as managers, editors, moderators, significant others, etc, are not considered a shared channel owner. These users would need to secure their own ticket. The deadline to request a ticket for a shared channel is October 1st, 2022 and is subject to ticket availability.

Partners: Begin the registration process, and once you land on the ticket selection page reach out to registration@twitchcon.com with your shared channel name. The TwitchCon Partnerships team will confirm the request, and assign the appropriate ticket for you to complete the purchase.

Affiliates: Purchase a community ticket and forward your confirmation email to registration@twitchcon.com with the name of your shared channel name. The TwitchCon team will confirm your participation and upgrade the ticket appropriately.

Community: Each creator on a shared channel must have their own Twitch account to purchase a ticket.

I’m a Partner. If I have someone traveling with me, will they be allowed in the partner lounge and partner only party?
The partner shop night, partner lounge and partner party are strictly for partner badge holders only to enable partners to relax and meet other partners at TwitchCon. +1’s will NOT be allowed at the partner shop night, partner party or partner lounge.
If I submit a panel or idea for the Call for Content, when will I know if I was selected?

Whether your idea is selected or didn’t quite make the cut this year, we’ll be in touch. You’ll hear from us about the status of your application around the following dates:

  • August 1: Artist Alley, Artist Alley Digital Showcase, Community Panels, Interactive Sessions, Music Performances
  • August 12: Cosplay Contest and Drag

Can I edit my Call for Content submission?
Submission edits are now closed! Now that TwitchCon acceptances have gone out, you will no longer be able to edit your idea. Congratulations to those of you who had accepted submissions! The TwitchCon Content team will be working directly with you to button up your session details. If your submission was declined, thank you so much for applying and we hope to see your ideas next time.
Where should I stay at TwitchCon San Diego?
We have secured attendee hotel rooms directly with Convention Center Housing that can be booked here. Hotels are not managed by Twitch so if you have any questions or need assistance please contact CHP at twitchcon@chphousing.com or +1-415-813-6088 ext 16.
What can I do at TwitchCon San Diego?
Simply put, you can do a whole lot. Everything and everyone that makes Twitch, Twitch, will be represented over the course of the weekend. There will be sessions and workshops to help improve your stream, esports showdowns, live shows, meet and greets with your favorite streamers, and much, much more. Do I need to be a streamer to go to TwitchCon San Diego?
Nope! TwitchCon is for the entire Twitch community. While there will be sessions and some content geared towards streaming, we have plenty planned for non-streamers as well. Fans, viewers, developers, and anyone who loves Twitch will find lots to do at TwitchCon.
Will I meet my favorite streamers at TwitchCon San Diego?
Many of them, yes! You’ll run into Twitch streamers at TwitchCon around the show floor and at their Meet & Greet sessions.
Can I meet up with my community?
Yes! We’ll have community meeting areas and MeetUps on-site. They’re perfect for hanging out with friends from chat and who knows? You may even meet new friends.
Can I volunteer to work at TwitchCon San Diego?
We have Twitch employees staffing the convention, so thanks for the offer, but not this time. We recommend enjoying the show while our staff plays support.
What languages will TwitchCon be presented in?
All TwitchCon San Diego content will be presented and streamed in English. ASL interpreters will be available for panel rooms and our Glitch theater content.

The Loot Cave FAQ

What are the store hours of operation?

October 6th: 3PM - 6PM (Partner Night - Partners only)

October 7th: 9AM - 6PM

October 8th: 9AM - 6PM

October 9th: 9AM - 6PM

Note: Lines will close 1 hour before close everyday.

Will you accommodate those with mobility impairments?

Attendees with medical badges will have a special queue for them and their companions to both enter the store and to pay for their items after shopping. The Loot Cave is wheelchair accessible.

Can I enter the Loot Cave with food and drinks?

Unfortunately, no food or drinks are allowed in the Loot Cave.

What types of products will you be offering?

We will be offering around 115 products ranging from tees, hoodies, sweatshirts, sweat pants, socks, water bottles, bags, pins, vinyl toys, and more!

What sizes will be available?

We offer apparel in sizes XS up to 3XL with Tees going to 4XL.

How do I know what size will fit me?

There will be a fitting area inside of the store for you to try on different sizes so we encourage everyone to take advantage of that before making a purchase.

Can I return/exchange after I purchase?

Unfortunately, all sales are final and we will not be accepting any returns/exchanges.  

Are there any limitations on how many of an item I can purchase? 

Yes, each person can buy up to the below amounts by item:

  • (2) commemorative tees & hoodies
  • (1) Twitch x YouTooz Golden Kappa Emote Toy
  • (1) of any same Twitch x Street Fighter item

Can I pay with cash and card?

No, the Loot Cave is cashless this year so will only be accepting credit/debit cards, Apple pay, Google pay, and Samsung pay. There will be two Cash-to-Card kiosks inside the Loot Cave where you can convert your cash to a pre-paid Visa card, free of charge. The Visa card will work anywhere in the U.S. that accepts Visa.

Payment forms accepted will be American Express, Mastercard, Maestro, Visa, Visa Electron, JCB, Unionpay, Discover, Diners Club, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay.
